A Little Bit About Us...
My name is Michael Abell. I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. I have roots in the Brethren In Christ Church (BIC) on both sides of my family. My father is from the Canadian BIC and my mother was born and raised in the Pennsylvania BIC.
My wife, Elizabeth and I met at Messiah College, and
have been married since June 18, 2000 and we have
three sons and two daughters; Christopher was born
in December 2006; Jacob was born in October 2008;
and Zachary was born at Nason Hospital on
December 30, 2010. We had our twin girls,
Hannah & Rebekah on 12/6/12.
We have been in ministry together since January 2001.
I was the youth Pastor at West Shore BIC for four
years. We spent three years church planting in
Wisconsin, and two years supporting a church plant
in Ohio as an Associate Pastor.
I am excited to continue to serve as the Pastor at Martinsburg BIC Church here in Martinsburg, PA. We have been here since August of 2010 and we have come to call the Cove our home. I'm looking forward to what the Lord is going to do in and through us.
I love to read novels and watch movies. I also love sports and especially baseball—the New York Yankees are the best! :-)
We love to travel with our children and enjoy the outdoors. Elizabeth loves to be with the children and to garden. She is a huge Penn State Football Fan from birth! If you have any questions or want to chat feel free to give me a call.
